@@Boojakascha I visited the booth today. However, the Nextick Light Gun was not there, but the next generation Nextick Joystick 3D Mouse 2 was there.

Nextick 2 is expected to be released on Indiegogo next year. It will likely have the same performance as the Nextick Light Gun.

This one needs a CRT monitor (cathode ray tube) in order to work. It won't work on LCD TVs unfortunetely :(

I would assume it should work. People even used the light sensor back in the days. Check out episode 184 to see that ( ua-cam.com/video/B_KjJEgEzVg/v-deo.html ) Even if it wouldn't work, you could use a PS to PC adaptor and then many of the buttons really should be translated to a Windows compatible gaming joypad.

Hi AdekEku! You are right, the false behavior is down to editing. I use a real console and the real game, but for some reason I recorded without shooting and recreated the shots in editing. Sadly it's too long ago and I can't remember why I did so. I assume there was an issue with the capture hardware, that every time I shot, something weird happened to the capture. I will dig a bit to find out, but I can't promise anything =)

@@BoojakaschaI thought I was going crazy for a moment there; the footage implies the odyssey is able to keep the memory of where the hit was made, as well as remember the direction the ball was traveling - but the Odyssey has no memory. Now I can sleep easy again, thank you for the explanation.

Thank you! I lubed it with white lithium grease, but I am sure any grease will work fine =) I lubed the spring (for sound) and all moving parts for friction. It was a rod I think and holes that went on it. Personally I am not using the original red, and my eyes don't perceive red 100 % correct I think. But I used the archetypical fire fighter truck red. I think it's #FF0000. I don't see a difference to the original colour, but I am the wrong person to ask.
